Music
Class music lessons follow the National Curriculum and include, listening and appraising, composing, performance and ensemble playing.
The children participate in our school based Wider Opportunities Music programme learning to play a real instrument within class lessons. The children start with whole class Djembe drumming in Year 3 and progress to whole class Ukulele playing throughout key stage 2.
In addition to music taught in lesson times, there are many opportunities for the children to learn a musical instrument.. Children are able to pursue their interest and talent in learning to play an instrument working with the North Yorkshire County Music Hub. Visiting teachers from North Yorkshire teach a range of instruments including; guitar, keyboard, drum kit and strings, woodwind and brass. There is a charge for the tuition for this service which is charged termly and hosted within school time.
Community Christmas Sing-a-long (December 2025)
Our Community Christmas Sing-a-long has become an annual tradition for children, staff and parents to join together for a sing-a-long with Mr Rogers around the piano. A lovely and heart-warming community spirit at Bradleys Both!

North Yorkshire & York VE Day 80th Anniversary Concert (April 2025)
Our Year 5 and Year 6 children who took part in the 80th VE Day Anniversary Music Concert held at Harrogate Convention Centre. Our school was one of only nine schools from across the whole of North Yorkshire and York to sing as a massed choir alongside the County Youth Choir, North Yorkshire Schools Session Orchestra and HM Band of the Grenadier Guards. It was a tremendous privilege for our school to be invited to participate in such a memorable and prestigious event. The children sang a collection of war time songs including; "We'll Meet Again", "A Nightingale Sang in Berkley Square" and "Wish Me Luck". The concert concluded with with a rendition of "Land of Hope and Glory" accompanied by lots of flag waving.

Key Stage 2 'Cinderella' Pantomime (December 2025)
Our Key Stage 2 children worked incredibly hard with their pantomime performance of Cinderella, performing to an audience of parents, friends and local community.. Well done to Cinders, our extremely funny Ugly Sisters, Buttons, Fairy Godmother, Prince, Dandini and our scene narrators for all their efforts. Every member of our cast contributed to making the performances successful and had everyone smiling, laughing and joining in, in true pantomime style - "Oh yes they did!". Thank you to our audiences for joining in the fun and encouraging everyone with their singing and acting. A truly wonderful performance Team Bradley.
Early Years & Key Stage 1 Christmas Nativity (December 2025)
The Early years and Key Stage 1 children worked together to learn, rehearse and perform their Christmas Nativity. The children performed to audiences of parents, grandparents, friends and members of the local community who thoroughly enjoyed the children's singing and acting.
