About Our Great School

At Bradleys Both Community Primary School we cater for children aged 4 to 11 years old and firmly believe that these first years of school life are the most important and where children gain their thirst and enthusiasm for learning.

We know that choosing a school for your child is a very important decision for any parent to make.  We understand how important your children are to you and endeavour to provide a safe, secure and stimulating environment for your children to enjoy their first steps of learning.  We aim to help to make this process easy and are here to work with you all to support you with their development.

"I feel the teachers know each child so well and tap into their individual needs"

We are fortunate enough to be set in a beautiful rural village just outside of Skipton and are on the north and west Yorkshire boarders... Our school grounds provide a fantastic learning resource which is used throughout the curriculum opportunities provided to enhance the children's learning experiences.

The school was built in 1914 and extended in the 1960's when the hall and the kitchen were added.  There are three classrooms in the main building and a further two freestanding units in the school grounds.  Each of the five classrooms has an interactive whiteboard and internet access. The school hall doubles up as the dining area.  A well-equipped computing room adjoins the hall, as does a well stocked library/resource centre.  A Design Technology room was added in the summer of 2009 which provides a very spacious multi-purpose room which is fitted with a fully equipped kitchen, great for cooking and baking.  The school has key outside learning enviroments in addition to a large play area comprising of a playground, wooded area and field.

Our school celebrated it's centenary birthday in 2014.  The historical event brought together the extended school community past and present.  A mosiac designed and made by every child at school was unveiled in way of celebrating 100 years.

"The school now has a strong leader at the helm, who is approachable if problems arise"

The Bradleys Both Family of Children, Parents, Staff, Governors and the Wider Community work hard to develop exciting and purposeful teaching and learning opportunities to encourage a real enthusiasm for learning.  We are very proud of our achievements and strive to ensure every child develops to their potential.

We would very much encourage you to arrange a time to visit our school, when you will be able to meet the children and staff at work and play.  We look forward to being able to show you around our school and will ensure that our Headteacher is available to give you a tour and answer any questions that you may have in preparation for joining the Bradleys Both School Family.
